This old Civil War map shows two separate campaigns. The battles that involved the Academy Boys (Company G, 148th Regiment) followed a more eastern route represented by circles. Emma’s father, Reuben Hunter of the 54th Pennsylvanians, fought in battles represented by stars. Their path took them along the border of West Virginia.
